5 Minute Saliva Collection Process Overview:
- Online Registrations
: NY State employees will register online, sign a consent form and receive a unique QR-Code via email and/or text to bring with them to the pharmacy. - Walk-In Registrations: NY State employees will be able to scan a pharmacy provided QR-code on their smart device that will take them to the registration page.
- The pharmacy staff will follow a simple Scan, Spit and Go workflow:
- To start, affix and scan the test kit QR-Code and NY State employee QR-code.
- Observe the NY State employee collection: NY State employee writes name and DOB, fills tube with saliva, seal the tube, insert tube into bag and place bag into the designated area.
- NY State employee is free to leave and they will receive their results via text message or email within 48 hours of being received by the lab.
- Courier/carrier service will pick up specimens.
